For a whole day, the Council and the EU Parliament struggled to reach a compromise. They succeeded on some points, such as the border procedure and crisis situations. Others remain disputed. (…) Damian Boeselager, who is negotiating for the Greens faction, said that he would not be surprised “if the Parliament moves more towards the Council than vice versa, though it is important that the Council still moves.” The aim is still to reach an agreement before Christmas.
