My priorities
An open and just society
Europe must face up to the reality of migration and make it humane. This applies both to the common asylum system and to competitive labour migration.
Fix the EU
We need the EU to solve our common problems. My objective is a real European democracy with strong, efficient and transparent institutions.
A start-up friendly and sustainable economy
450 million people in the EU should not just be thought of as a huge market, but also as a source of world-leading new ideas, start-ups and industries.

REPRESENTING YOU IN THE EU PARLIAMENT
About me
I was born in Frankfurt in 1988, the youngest of four children. After my A-levels, military service and half a year in South America, I studied philosophy and economics in Bayreuth. I started my working life at a large strategy consultancy, where I supervised many projects in the social and public sector, for example in Rome, Kosovo or at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) in Nürnberg.
After two and a half years on the job I decided to go back to university. I moved to New York to start a Master’s in Public Policy. It was in this exciting city that I met Andrea and Colombe. The year was 2016: The year of Trump, Brexit and the rise of Le Pen and the AfD (the far right in Germany). We didn’t want to idly stand by while Europe was threatened, so Andrea, Colombe and I decided to found Volt Europa in 2017. I moved back to Berlin to build Volt, together with many other people across Europe. The election night of the 2019 European elections was perhaps the craziest moment of my life.
As Volt’s top candidate from Germany, I entered the European Parliament. Since then, I have enjoyed the incredible privilege of being able to participate directly in European politics with my team. I am proud to say that we have achieved quite a lot. Since 2019, I have worked on 25 pieces of legislation, 6 of which as rapporteur (read more here). Ahead of the 2024 European elections, anti-EU populism in Europe seems stronger than ever. With Volt, I want to oppose these forces. The road to the next election will be challenging and exciting, but I am more than ready for it. Come and help us to stand up for a better EU!

LET’S FIX THE EU
We are the first pan-European party – we make cross-border policies for a federal Europe because European challenges need European solutions. This is where national parties reach their limits. That is why we founded Volt, a movement and party for the whole of Europe.
We see ourselves as part of the answer to nationalist tendencies and anti-EU populism. In 31 countries, we move citizens to rethink and help shape politics at local, national and European level. We are pan-European, pragmatic and progressive.

My team
Even though I am (so far) the only Volt Member in the European Parliament, I am not alone. I have a team of four highly qualified specialists, who help me with my political work.
